What is the storageLAB Wheeled Under-Bed Storage Organizer?
The storageLAB wheeled under-bed storage organizer, 2-pack comes with a set of 2 separate bins that have wheels and other key features that are usually lacking in many of today’s under-bed options.
The system can be ideal for those who lack storage space or space in general, since it allows users to store items underneath their bed, or those who just want to store somewhat large items while keeping them out sight.
Key Stand-Out Features
Similar to the shoe organizer that we covered in our previous under-bed storage review, the storageLAB wheeled under bed storage organizer fits neatly under my queen-sized bed, which has a clearance space of about 10.5 inches underneath.
While the two versions are similar, we found that the wheeled version felt a little bit sturdier and heavier, likely due to the steel framing. There’s also, of course, the added benefit of having has four caster wheels that add a layer of convenience, depending on your needs or situation. The wheeled version has one removable divider,
We go into further detail about the differences between the two systems down below.

Our Past Experience with storageLAB and Their Organizers
As some readers may already know, this isn’t our first time trying out under-the-bed storage drawers or organizers, nor is it the first time we’ve used storageLAB products.
In fact, we have another review of their shoe organizer, which we purchased several months ago after moving into our new place.
You can find more details about the initial shoe organizer below, or keep scrolling to your favorite parts.
You can also check out the review onthe shoe organizer here, which opens up in a new tab.
The Initial Situation to Solve
When we first moved into our current home a few months ago (approx. December 2020), I had to figure out how to get decades’ worth of stuff into a smaller bedroom and small section of a garage, coming from a large master bedroom in a 3-bedroom house.
That meant getting rid of a lot of things and learning to use the space wisely, including vertical and any space in-between or down below. Challenge accepted!
Dealing with Tight Quarters and Little Storage
While I didn’t so much mind downsizing, I was pretty adamant about keeping my 8-drawer IKEA dresser and had just gotten a queen-sized bed that I was pretty fond of too.
And I somehow managed to convert my standard-sized closet into a small but cozy office niche for my adjustable standing desk for the time being, which completely ate up most of my clothing real estate aside from the dresser.
And it wasn’t so much that the room was too small, but rather that my furniture is almost too big for it. We’re still pretty amazed it actually fit without feeling cramped or feeling claustrophbic and cluttered.
In fact, I have to run a Roomba just to vacuum under the furniture, which is also another issue I had to consider while looking at under-bed storage options. Yet, because this was a somewhat temporary living situation, I wanted to hold onto to some things that I actually liked and I wanted to be comfrtable since this new room was basically my little apartment for a while..
The Overall Goal
Needless to say, space was becoming somewhat of an issue—especially in the clothing department.
Using an under-the-bed option seemed like the best way to go, even though I always hated the concept and worried I would get “lazy” and procrastinate on cleaning the room consistently, which can be an extra nightmare in a tight space.
So whatever I did use had to really work.
I needed something that would:
Cue storageLAB storage solution under bed bins, starting with their shoe organizer.
The Under-Bed Shoe Organizer
I knew I needed to work with vertical space but also find ways to use under-the-bed space too. So, I started with storageLAB’s shoe organizer, since that was my most problematic issue to solve due to there not being any closet floorspace or other solution. I also figured it’d be a good time to do a review.
You can see a review of the storageLAB shoe organizer, 2-Pack, here in a new tab next.
In short, I ended up really liking it—especially since I needed to be able to pull whatever I had on the floor, including any under-bed storage, out every week to vacuum.
If I didn’t vacuum at least once a week, cleaning just got too difficult in the already-cramped room due to pet hair and dust bunnies.
Single-Compartment Under Bed Storage Bins
I’d also tried out storageLAB’s single compartment bins, which I got in the two-pack but have since moved them to the garage ceiling storage, where they work great in too, and so I could use the wheeled bins, which actually fit a little better under the queen-sized bed.
Those were mainly to house my winter bedding and a few other winter-based seasonal clothes, just in case I needed something heavier and didn’t want to haul a bunch of bins down from the garage ceiling shelves.
The single-compartment bins and do the job they were meant to do, but I definitely liked the shoe organizer a bit more for some reason. The shoe organizer felt a bit sturdier in comparison, maybe due to the extra dividers. But if you’re looking to house sheets, blankets, or the like, they work great and are marked at an affordable price.
StorageLAB Reaching Out
It was that same review—and maybe my stating how I wished they’d make a wheeled, drawer-like bin—that apparently had storageLAB reaching out to check out their new wheeled storage bin with cover, which they’d send out in exchange for an honest, no-strings review.
And, honestly, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Even though I’d managed to wrangle my shoes, blankets, and some of the other items I’d mention below, I still wanted to have some easy-to-access that I maybe didn’t need regularly.
Overall Experience with the storageLAB Under Bed Organizer with Wheels and Cover
Here you’ll find more details about packaging, assembly, and our experience testing the storageLAB bins with wheels along with the top pros and cons.
When we first received the bins, I was pretty impressed with the amount of care that went into their packaging.
As mentioned before, I was also appreciative of the packaging waste they were able to cut back on, even from an environmental standpoint.
Assembly was straightforward, thanks to the careful packaging and the easy-to-read, Pulitzer-worthy instruction manual.
The only issue I had was unscrewing two wooden blocks that were attached to the steel frames that had the caster wheels on them, using two different Allen wrenches, and then having to put the screws onto the bins themselves.
This was mostly to help protect the contents within the box while shipping and, again, to help reduce packaging waste. Even so, I was a bit surprised since I hadn’t seen it on the shoe organizer or single-compartment sets I’d previously bought.
Still, it was actually pretty impressive how secure the framing was, but screwsdid add a few minutes to the assembly process while using the tool they include. So, if you’re impatient or in a rush, you may want to have a drill ready. Otherwise, not that big of a deal!
Other than that one minor issue, assembly was easy and took about 5-10 minutes per bin. The second was obviously easier and faster to put together, once I had everything figured out, though I was also fog-brained from getting ta vaccine..
Testing Out the Wheeled Under-the-Bed Organizer
The storageLAB under-bed organizer bins with wheels came in pretty handy as I tested them out for a few weeks. I got to use them alongside their covered shoe organizer, which I bought a few months prior and reviewed on not too long and really like.
There were certainly more pros than cons for the storageLAB under-the-bed organizing bin set, but after using their shoe organizer and seeing the attention to detail with just the packaging alone, I wasn’t all that surprised!
Here are the Top 3 favorite “likes” about the storageLAB under-the-bed-organizing drawers that we liked the most. You can see a full list of What to Like/Consider (pros and cons) in the Conclusion.
I really loved the wheel feature when it came to doing what the bins are designed for: pulling them out from the bed whenever I needed to grab something out of them.
While the shoe organizer’s smooth bottom does make it fairly easy to accomplish it, it was noticeably easier and even more enjoyable with the wheels.
Is it something that I would absolutely say I needed to have, considering the higher price tag when compared to their other under-the-bed organizers?
No, but it does come in handy during moments when your bins are loaded up with weight, you have difficulty bending over, or just want your bins to feel convenient and less of a burden. That’s when wheels and a sturdy steel frame/base might come in handy.
2. It can act as a “drawer” for other items.
One surprising “pro” that I experienced while using the storageLAB underbed storage bins is how you can use them as a drawer for other items you may want to have under your bed. Granted, a lot will depend on the size of the item as well as the amount of clearance left under your bed.
I just so happened to be able to store two things I really wanted to have in my room and easy access to but couldn’t find a spot for due to my lack of storage situation: my cushioned food/laptop tray and my standing desk mat.
3. Square-shaped design and size friendly for queen-sized beds.
Another unexpected surprise was how the wheeled storageLAB organizing bins fit underneath my queen-sized bed so well.
While I love their shoe organizers, I do notice sometimes how their longer rectangular shape does become somewhat of an issue when it comes to fitting underneath my queen-sized bed.
For instance, when one of the shoe organizers is already underneath, it may get pushed out on the other side of the bed a bit after I put its twin in next to it. In short, when the bins are side-by-side, their combined width can be a little too wide for my bed, causing me to angle them a certain way.
With these square-shaped wheeled underbed storage organizers, I’m able to situate them however they go in and don’t have to worry about them fitting properly, short of only need to consider where the handle is positioned. I could have 4 of the same ones down there and it’s not even an issue and it’s quick, which I always love.
Each wheeled under-the-bed bin takes up less than a quarter of the floor space under the bed, giving me plenty of room to spare and the dog has more spots to turn into his personal dude cave.
There weren’t many “cons” or points to consider for us when it came to the perfomance, build, construction, packaging and quality of the storageLAB bin with wheels. But here are the Top 3 things we took note of while testing things out.
I would have to say that might biggest issue with the storageLAB under-the-bed storage organizer bin drawers has been the lack of extra handles.
As much as I love the convenience of the wheels and the shape of the bins allowing me to quickly store the bins back where they belong and without much fuss, having only one handle on the bin kind of dampens that a bit.
The reason for that being is that I have to think about where the handle will be when I put the bin back under the bed to make sure it’s in the best and most likely spot for me to grab it next time. And because I have to carry the bin out of the room, I worry about putting too much stress on the handle due to all that weight being on it.
This may be less of an issue for most folks who won’t be carrying their bins out of the room to vacuum—especially since it does, after all, have wheels.
However, having multiple handles on the shoe and single-compartment organizers is one of the things that I liked so much about them and have more on the sides would have been a nice touch, even just for the sake of being able to “drawer” the bins out from multiple angles, depending on where you’re standing.
2. Assembly Process (Screws)
We already covered this in other sections and it really wasn’t that big of a deal, but something morather to consito be aware of, and that’s the screw situation when assembling the bins. It doesn’t take long to unscrew them and then use them on the two bins, but it does add a few minutes to the clock.
Again, make sure that you have a drill and the approiate bit ready if timing is an issue.
3. Height (more consideration than con)
While this wasn’t something that bothered me, or could even be considered an actual “con”, we felt it worth mentioning since a few people online asked, were confused by it, or complained (because they were confused by it). And that’s how much height you have inside the bin to store things and the height of the entire bin.
I personally feel that there’s plenty of space to store items in and I had plenty of space left under my bed when it came to the bin height in its entirety, though I have 10.5” inches of clearance space.
Some people were assuming they were getting more storage space and some were confused about the wheeled bin’s total height, thinking they were getting more low-profile underbed storage.
- Entire height of each bin is advertised as 6.3-6.5” and that includes the wheels, though others were sometimes getting 6.5” to 6.75”.
- The height of the interior space (where you store items) is approximately 4-4.3”.
However, there is a little give when the top is zipped, which means your bin could be toller if you overstuff it.So make sure to measure accordingly, and if you need something that’s more low-profile, then check out their options without the wheels, which slide out very easily too.

What Can You Store Inside storageLAB Wheeled Under Bed Organizing Drawers?
You can store a number of things inside the storageLAB under bed organizing bins with wheels and covers. While many people tend to store extra blankets and clothes in their under-the-bed storage, you can also try some of the following:
That’s one of the things I love about the storageLAB organizing under-the-bed- bins: they’re not only well made but versatile and even relatively portable. When you happen to be using the items you normally store inside the bins, you can always use the organizers to store other things in the meantime or rotate as needed.
Where Can You Buy the StorageLAB Wheeled Under Bed Covered Organizers?

Here are some of the Internet’s most frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the storageLAB under the bed storage organizer with clear top and wheels.
We’ve also included a few of our own questions that we had before receiving the item or when looking for under-the-bed organizers.
Are the storageLAB Under Bed Storage with wheels storage bins stackable?
These storage solution bins are not stackable due to the wheels underneath them.
However, you can check out their no-wheels versions, which I actually have been able to and do stack, such as their shoe organizer and single-compartment option. You can also possibly store things ontop of them, providing you have enough room underneath your bed.
Do the StorageLAB Wheeled Under Bed Covered Organizers have a cover?
Yes, these under-bed storage bin organizers come with an attached clear plastic cover that zips closed.
This was one selling point for us on their similar shoe organizers, and these bins have the exact same thing. The clear covers prevent dust and debris from getting on your items and allow you to see things while keeping them protected. They’re also easy to dust or clean off, should you need to.
Just make sure you get the one with the cover, as the company also sells an identical-looking one that comes without a cover.
Can you remove the plastic cover on the storageLAB Under-bed Storage Solution Bin?
No, the plastic cover cannot be removed. Many people prefer the plastic cover since it’s clear, allowing you to see through it. It also functions to safeguard your stored items, protecting them from dust, debris, pets, and other outside factors.
However, if you prefer not to have a cover but still want a wheeled under-the-bed storage drawer like this one, storageLAB also offers cover-free options, which you can find here.
Do the wheels rotate 360 degrees?
Yes, the four caster wheels on this under-the-bed storage drawer smoothly rotate 360 degrees.
What’s the difference between the StorageLAB Wheeled Under Bed Covered Organizers vs. shoe organizer?
The wheeled storageLAB under-bed storage bin comes in a square shape and holds a little less than the shoe organizer version.
The under-the-bed shoe organizer has a slightly taller interior storage compartment height, which is approximately 5.3 inches.
The wheeled version has approximately 4.3” in storage space height and a total of 6.3” total height once you factor in the wheels.
Are the StorageLAB Wheeled Under Bed Covered Organizers not exactly what you’re looking for, or are you just unsure how it might compare to other options? No worries! Everybody’s different, and situations may vary. Here are a few others we spotted while searching for our own.
In this review post, we provided in-depth information and pictures about the storageLAB Under Bed Organizers, 2-Pack, and what we liked or what we felt needed improvement.
We also mentioned hands-on details about our situation, explained our need for an under-the-bed storage solution, and discussed our overall experience while using the product.
Our Main Take Away
We enjoyed using the Under Bed Storage Organizing Drawers and plan to continue using them. They seemed to be the perfect solution for the tight quarters in my bedroom and the need for extra space for storing clothes and other items.
The under-the-bed organizing bins really help me out when I need to vacuum under the bed, which I try to do at least once or twice a week to keep the effort of cleaning such a tight space manageable.
We feel the organizer bins should be able to stand up to being moved in and out from underneath the bed this often. Much of this is thanks to their durable steel framing and high-quality construction. However, we’ll certainly update if any issues crop up as time progresses.
Are storageLAB Wheeled Under Bed Organizers the Best?
Are storageLAB’s wheeled under the bed organizers the best under-bed storage bins available?
Yes, we think they’re definitely in the Top 5—at least out of what we’ve seen on both Amazon and the Internet in general.
And while we’ve not tried every single product out there, and determining what is the best under the bed organizer candepden heavily on need or personal preference, we did notice during our research how few options had even remotely the same key features, and ever fewer storage solutions had all the features going for it at the same as the storageLAB version.
Some of these features include:
