Here are a few quarterly living cleaning tasks that you can focus on for deep cleaning. Some quarterly chores may encourage ongoing maintenance of specific areas, such as when it comes to decluttering and tidying up so that things don’t pile up over extended periods of time.

Reorganize cabinets, drawers, and consoles.

Rotate the mattress.

Clean filters, such as vacuum filters, AC filters, air purifier filters, and clean washable ones, like the stove vent or similar.
Clean humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air purifiers.
Return items from closets, entryway, or mudroom areas to their proper homes (e.g., shoes, coats, clothing, bags, purses, etc.).
Deep clean pet items such as bedding, blankets, and washable toys.
Clean the grill and do seasonal outdoor cleaning chores.
Remove debris from the flower beds, yard, and/or patio.
